Located in the heart of Kuala Terengganu’s town centre, Mayang Mall is a retail and residential mixed-development project, consisting of a 6-storey shopping mall and a 13-storey serviced apartment building with integrated podium parking. An adjacent site has also been allocated for a future 20-storey serviced apartment. The entire site sits on the Jalan Sultan Zainal Abidin main road and fronts the Seberang Takir waterway. The location gave the opportunity for the serviced apartment to capture not just the waterway view, but also the city centre view on the south side, as well as Pulau Duyung on the west side.

The finished overall development will offer 1.65 million square feet of retail and F&B space, residential units, more than 2000 integrated carpark spaces, 8 cinema halls, a spacious surau that overlooks the Seberang Takir waterway, 1000 pax ballroom, rooftop garden, as well as a rooftop deck and event area. This development will be built in 2 phases; Phase 1 consists of the mall and podium parking, while Phase 2 consists of the serviced apartment.

The mall and serviced apartment buildings have a separate lift lobby and entrance in order to maintain exclusivity and privacy for residents and guests. The ballroom will feature a grand drop off area with valet service and dedicated parking bays. This is to provide ease of access and a luxurious experience to the end user. This mixed-development project will provide an integrated shopping and living experience by having flexible connectivity throughout all its components.

The intended concept of the shopping mall was to create a minimalist and modern retail experience with high ceilings, wide hallways, and open atriums, while utilising neutral colours in the finishings. On ground level, the mall features a variety of finishing materials, including matte homogenous tiles, a glass canopy, external aluminium clad panels, and tempered clear blue glass. Both the shopping mall and serviced apartment building’s facades use aluminium cladding strips, aluminium RHS louvres, and textured spray paint with groove lines that blend with the building’s neutrality, resulting in harmonious aesthetic across the overall development.
